"We them heavily recruited," said Blair. "Fair and square lost."

Traveling later past high Cypress Fairbanks, Blair satisfied that Cabinet was recruiting Texas A & M's almost bare, say: "Hey, but we the children win, have elected us."

And then he would stop for a cheeseburger, and "It played no role."

On Sunday evening, Blair's confident self-confidence was realized as Texas A & M overcame a 10-points behind and stunned Stanford, 63-62, in the national semifinals on a driving layup by guard Tyra white with 3.3 seconds remaining.

They have their first appearance in the final four, will face the Aggies (32-5) on Tuesday for the Championship of the Connecticut-Notre Dame winner.

Stanford (33-3) was four consecutive final fours without title since 1992. Sunday's defeat are particularly difficult to accept given that led the Cardinal, 54-44, with 6 minutes 1 second remaining. The Aggies had no answer for Nnemkadi Ogwumike, a 6-foot 2 junior after forward, who scored 31 points, a series on praise passes and vaulting shots inside.

But the Aggies never succumbed, prevailing with perseverance and pressure Defense, the Stanford in 22 sales forced. Seven were from point guard Jeanette Pohlen, the Pacific-10 player of the year, that often dripped with his head down and all night appeared uncertain.

However, appeared with Ogwumike dominated the game, the cardinal on the way to an other championship game. Texas A & M remained fiercely resilient.

The game featured a magnificent frontcourt matchup between two all-Americans, Ogwumike, and the 6-1 of Danielle Adams of Texas A & M, had 16 points and 6 rebounds.

When Adams Junior College last season came, they strained a hamstring muscle on their first or second day in training. She weighed more than 280 pounds. On a team, that its reputation on pressure Defense built, she struggled to get the Court above and below.

"I knew that I my weight down and my endurance get better," said Adams.

She lost about 40 pounds, and led the Aggies with 18.8 points and 8.8 rebounds a game this season Adams, shoot sent inside and out. Blair often describes them as Barkley-esque.

"I think that a big problem was weight problem," said Adams. "The most coaches believe not on me." A & M trust me. I knew that I work hard. I have all these other cars that they were wrong. "Now she wish, she had recruited me."

On Sunday of Adams was in the face with the ball hit, drew two early fouls and only 13 minutes in the first half played. In the meantime, first 20 points get Ogwumike 16 Stanford's, when the cardinal a 27-23 appeared nervous on this large stage half-time lead, although took her sister, Chiney, freshman, 6-3.

"they really are physical and so athletic," Texas A & M guard Sydney Carter said the sisters Ogwumike. "If you think you out have blocking, just up there to go and the ball." She praise it there, and they are easy to grab it. Get position before the girls shoot even there; "I've never seen before anyone."

Adams returned for the second half to protect Nnemkadi Ogwumike and hit them out on the ground, announce their return. Ogwumike ignored the contact and embedded in a turnaround jumper. Then left 17: 37, Ogwumike set to pick a predetermined back that sent the Court of Justice as stunned Sydney Colson, Texas A & M's second leading scorer, guard crumpled.

Silky swelled efforts within a sprinting layup and free throws by Nnemkadi Ogwumike Stanford's lead to 54-44 with 6: 01 left. But Chiney Ogwumike fouled out with 4 peripheral points and 4 rebounds. And Adams had to withdraw not Texas A & M.

Muscled a shot of Ogwumike and a free throw gave the Aggies draw up 54-52. She went ahead 59-58, with 52.9 seconds left on Colson's two free throws. The lead with two free throws restored Ogwumike twice and left, who shot a ball with 9.2 seconds in Stanford, 62-61 put up. But the lead did not last.

Colson sprinted down the Court and white, who finished with 18 points, for a layup, Texas A & M give advantage a surprising 63-62 3.3 seconds left with.

"We had to do some things we have to do all season long against everyone else," said Stanford coach Tara Hobart. "It was a game."

Stanford tried the ball caught a long inbounds pass to Ogwumike and Colson.

The Aggies were on their way to the championship game and Stanford was trophy on their way home again without a Championship.

"It was hectic," said Carter. "Everyone said:" thirty seconds for the rest of the y ' all living conditions. You forget that you are tired, and only enforce. "And I think that's exactly what we did."
