
Sanaa, Yemen (CNN) --der Security Council of the United Nations not a diplomatic response to the crisis in Yemen as anti-Government sentiment and reported violence some by the regime in the Middle East country escalates.
The first meeting of the Council on the situation in the Yemen Germany and Lebanon introduced a statement, the restraint in the violence, among other things would have called for.
However said a UN diplomat concerns of China and Russia blocked a uniform response.
Some countries wanted more time to consult their Governments. A diplomat called it a sensitive issue and complex enough, agree with the Council, were a statement at the time not like.
Government forces on Tuesday wounded in Sanaa and Taiz bombarded mass protest against the regime of President Ali Abdullah Saleh, so that at least three dead and dozens, witnesses and medical sources said.
Witnesses described hundreds of thousands of people in the cities as long rule appeared the protests against Saleh's, to gain strength.
On the small island of Socotra, at the mouth of the Gulf of Aden, more than 3,000 people marched Tuesday against the regime and the Gulf Cooperation Council last week, the Saleh of power to his Vice President transfer proposal denounced.
"No way, not at all, we agree!", cried the demonstrators, according to witness.
CNN was unable to independently verify the witness reports.
Field said medical sources and a member of the protest organizing Committee in Taiz, a demonstrator was killed and seven injured Tuesday from gunshot wounds.
In Sanaa, the capital, two people were killed and 37 suffered gunshot wounds, witnesses said.
"Ambulances are everywhere and the injured are on the ground," said Riyadh Saleh, an anti-Government of protesters in Sana'a, Yemen. "they (police) shot at us directly, and the injured are hundreds."
Earlier, included a large crowd demonstrators marching on a road in Sana'a, Yemen tens of thousands of women.
Saleh said last week that female demonstrators Yemeni cultural norms have been violated, with men who are not direct relatives, women prohibit the mixing. His comments angered many activists.
"We want to say that only the option force the Gulf States Saleh to step down," Ms. Laila Kareem said Abdul activist. "He is a person while we are millions."
The State Saba news agency mentioned said not the anti-Government protests but pro-Government demonstrators had taken to the streets in four provinces Saleh and support of the Yemeni Government.
