Jimmy Carter and other ex-leaders to travel to N. Korea

SEOUL - former President Jimmy Carter was in North Korea on Tuesday for talks to reduce tensions on the Korean peninsula to get warring.

Remain the so-called six talks on the Denuclearization of North Korea in the balance, and Mr.. Carter said official dialogue with the North "appears at a standstill."

Mr. Carter and three former leaders from Europe arrived in Beijing on Sunday. The four are members of the elders, an independent group of world leaders founded by Nelson Mandela.

The oldest group had hoped meetings with the North Korean leader Kim Jong-il, although Mr. Carter said Monday that such a meeting still had not established.

It was also unclear whether Mr.. Carter, an American man release by North Korea on unspecified charges since November in prison, would press North Korean officials.

On Thursday, following meetings in Pyongyang, is the oldest group in the South Korean capital Seoul travel.

Earlier this month, an American man said the North Korean Government already "his crime had allowed." Italy permit, migrants to France, Germany - Monster and Critics.com travel

Rome - Italy warned fellow members of the European Union on Friday that it could issue temporary residence permits to Tunisian would-be immigrants, so that they can travel in other EU countries.


 

"It's a way, to Europe to understand that in the light of his total lack of cooperation, legislative measures in place, are to enforce the principle of solidarity," said Interior Minster Roberto Maroni.


"We are not enforced, these (migrants) who want to keep France or Germany, in Italy," Maroni told a press conference in Rome.


Addressing the same press conference, Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi said his Government main aim was to repatriate most of the more than 18,000 Tunisians, who arrived in Italy since a January both are former Tunisian President Zine El-Abidine Ben Ali rebellion.


Berlusconi said he planned to discuss Tunis to visit on Monday, the return in meeting with Tunisia's interim authorities.


But the Prime Minister repeated Maroni's comments on so that some of the migrants to Italy with other EU Member States.
