Squad OPP raids of the poor home, terrified man

A tactical squad of the Ontario Provincial Police gave a man Arnprior, Ontario, a terrifying alarm Friday, bursting his home and he held in plays - realized that they entered the wrong address.

The team was looking to stop a drug suspected weapons dealer when they stormed Steven Carrigan apartment before 7 a.m. the armed a stun grenade and rifles.

Carrigan was rocked awakened by the sound of a pomegranate stun smashing by glass and explodes on a bed of his son.

"It was strong, as ' boom! Boom! ""recalled Carrigan." Fortunately, his 19 years of age was not home at the time.

"Who would have done serious damage to my son".

Carrigan said several officers broke down her door, hoisted naked in the bed and he held at the end of the rifle.

' There are 20 of them. They could be in the right place?'-Resident Steven Carrigan

"They were like, ' don't move!" Don't move! ""And then he said a name ".

It is at this point the Carrigan realized that it was mistaken identity.

"I said: ' no..". My name is Steven. Not the name that you called. ? “

Look for suspicious police, it proved, lived in the apartment below. Realizing the error, police arrested and charged with the neighbor, a 24-year-old man in possession of a prohibited weapon and marijuana.

Although it's mission accomplished for the police, Carrigan was not in a festive mood.

"Just angry!" he said. "I have not had a parking ticket in 20 years." They have to do things. There are 20 of them. They could not get in the right place? ?

An OPP spokesman now admits the officers slipped, although a press release of the original OPP called the mission a success.
