2 Percent of Americans identify as gay

The United States have about 4 million homosexual adults, represents about 1.7% of the population, according to a new study by University of California, Los Angeles, research group.

The figure was by demographer of Gary gates of the Williams Institute on sexual orientation law and public order, and asked, based on five studies, the participants for their sexual orientation.

Precise count of gays is subject to difficulties under the best circumstances. Sexuality is by nature from fluid and ambiguous:, that we count as gay? The number of gays is a politically charged issue. Activists on all sides of the political spectrum have both exaggerated and played down the number of gays in America, according to their agendas. By any measure which ignored their concerns of the majority of homosexuals in the minority, and as they do not want any minority.

Of course, if gay rights as a matter of human rights, it does not matter whether it four gays in America, or 400 million. The Constitution applies to all.
